This is a full time, in-person position located on Tarleton State University's Fort Worth, Texas campus with normal work hours from Monday to Friday; from 8am to 5pm or as work requirements indicate. Travel may be necessary on occasion. Some evenings and weekends may be required pending scheduled activities. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position will report directly to the Dean of the College of Health and Clinical Professions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Clear and articulate written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information to various audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary administrative support for the College of Health and Clinical Professions, reporting to the Dean and working closely with administration, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Plans, coordinates, and participates in the execution of administrative and budgetary operations and services; may serve as office manager, overseeing daily front office operations and ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and functionality of office procedures.
  • Analyzes programs, projects, and initiatives; monitors timelines; identifies issues; and recommends or implements improvements to services, processes, or programs.
  • Prepares special analyses and operational and project summary reports.
  • Assists with routine and complex administrative problem-solving and responds to routine and non-routine information requests, providing exemplary customer service while clearly interpreting and communicating University policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes student information systems, business management systems and university software as assigned.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries, as needed.
  • Plans and coordinates meetings, seminars, and special events, providing on-site support when required.
  • Oversee office supplies, equipment, and resources; coordinates records retention and maintains reference materials.
  • Recommends process improvements, administrative changes, and new initiatives.
  • Assists with all aspects of the purchasing process in compliance with University policies and procedures; serves as a liaison between the College and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supports faculty and staff personnel processes, to include hiring.
  • Assists with onboarding, access to information systems, and routine personnel-related tasks.
  • Maintains a wide range of confidential fiscal, administrative, and academic records; assists with data entry and maintenance related to semester course schedules.
  • Manages and schedules calendars, classrooms, laboratories, and conference rooms, coordinating space usage as needed.
  • May hire, train and supervise student workers and support staff.
