As an Administrative Coordinator in the Department of Surgery, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering world-class care. You’ll work closely with the Program Director and Administrative Director to support departmental operations, coordinate activities with the Graduate Medical Education Office, and ensure seamless communication across stakeholders. Your contributions will help uphold our commitment to quality, efficiency, and outstanding service for our diverse Queens community. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (strongly preferred).
  • Experience with hospital-based GME program preferred.
  • Experience with MedHub Medical Education Software.
  • Experience with Thalamus | GME Residency Interview Scheduling Software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Department of Surgery leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Program Director (or designee) and the NYP Graduate Medical Education Office.
  • Coordinate departmental activities to ensure smooth operations and quality patient care.
  • Support internal and external communications, scheduling, and documentation needs.
