About The Position

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is offering a full-time sponsored internship with the Administration and ICT Unit at UNHCR’s Multi-Country Office in Washington, D.C., USA. Established in December 1950, UNHCR is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights, and building a better future for asylum seekers, refugees, returnees, internally displaced communities, and stateless people. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are forced to flee their homes to escape conflict and persecution. UNHCR currently operates in over 130 countries, using its long expertise to protect and care for millions. UNHCR’s Multi-Country Office in Washington, D.C. (MCO-W) serves as a key liaison with the U.S. Government and other stakeholders on refugee protection, resettlement, and humanitarian response. The office also supports operations in the United States and parts of the Caribbean. The Administration and ICT Unit plays a critical role in ensuring the effective functioning of the office. The Unit provides operational, financial, administrative, asset management, procurement, and information and communication technology (ICT) support services to enable the delivery of UNHCR’s mandate. The intern will work under the supervision of the Senior ICT Associate and the Head of Administration, supporting both administrative and ICT-related activities in line with UNHCR rules, procedures, and standards. The Administration / ICT Intern will support the daily operational needs of the office, contributing to administrative coordination, asset and inventory management, procurement support, financial tracking, and ICT systems maintenance.
