About The Position

This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU. ‌ This position serves as the first point of contact for the Dean’s Office and provides high-level administrative, scheduling, and operational support. Basic Responsibilities A. Receptionist B. Administrative Support C. Maintain CBS Room Reservations and Events D. Provide Support to the Director of Finance and Administration E. Supervise Student Employees F. All other duties as assigned Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. A. Receptionist 1. Greet and assist visitors, faculty, staff and students 2. Answer and route phone calls 3. Manage general email inquiries 4. Represent the Dean’s Office in a professional and friendly manner B. Administrative Support 1. Support Dean’s Office staff 2. Manage calendars as assigned 3. Maintain CBS directory and key records 4. Process monthly purchasing card reports 5. Maintain supplies for the Dean’s Office suite C. Maintain CBS Room Reservations & Events 1. Maintain room scheduling for internal and external constituents 2. Coordinate chapel weddings 3. Process rental contracts, insurance documents and payments 4. Assist with Dean’s Office events as needed D. Provide Support to the Director of Finance and Administration 1. Submit building and technology work orders for the college 2. Manage building access and HVAC scheduling 3. Send weekly building usage updates 4. Maintain Dean’s office areas, classrooms, storage rooms and facility need E. Supervise Student Employees 1. Assist with hiring and training 2. Schedule and oversee work

Requirements

  • Two years college education or three years administrative experience
  • Customer service orientation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Initiative and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Google Workspace
