Administrative Specialist I/Licensing Specialist
About The Position
This position performs clerical duties to support the Section's functions and operations. Responsibilities include processing Family Care Home and Adult Care Home applications, capacity changes, license renewal applications, processing and e-filing reports, assisting the public (phone and in person) data entry, and maintaining facility files. The Division of Health Service Regulation oversees medical, mental health and adult care facilities, emergency medical services, and local jails. We check to see that people receiving care in these facilities are safe and receive appropriate care. We make certain that medical buildings are built only when there is a need for them.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and other various computer software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Ability to develop and generate reports in collecting and providing data upon request.
