Job Summary: The Audit Compliance and Technical Procedures Administrator is part of the Maintenance division quality assurance team and is responsible for working with primary audit teams to ensure the business is progressing in its efforts to reduce audit findings and create clarity in our governing documents to prevent reoccurrence. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) to ensure accurate observations during the audit rectification process. This position will assist the QA Auditors with developing, revising, and conducting maintenance related audits. The administrator must gain and maintain a professional and productive relationship with their fellow mechanics and provide constructive solutions for corrective actions to audit findings. The administrator will also participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and future Safety Management System (SMS) compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Airframe Powerplant Certificate
  • 5 years’ experience with PHI as a mechanic.
  • 10 years’ industry experience on like aircraft.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Technical writing abilities
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format. Phone communication must be effective and clear.
  • Must be able to pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment, lift 100 pounds)
  • This position is designated Safety Sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, revises, and conducts Maintenance Department audits.
  • Evaluates internal compliance and effectiveness of established policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Plan, schedule and conducts audits within the Maintenance Department to ensure compliance with published technical documents and both volumes of the GMM.
  • Generate comprehensive detailed reports identifying deficiencies to provide data for the use of corrective actions.
  • Assist maintenance in performing effective root cause analysis to determine the most appropriate comprehensive corrective actions.
  • Comply with vendor audits as required to verify quality standards by review of quality assurance surveys and performing on-site audits.
  • Audit in-process maintenance discrepancy resolutions for compliance with FAA regulations and established company policies.
  • Perform physical inspection of in-process and completed aircraft maintenance and repair work for airworthiness, compliance with FAA regulations, and conformity to manufacturers’ documentation.
  • Position requires a comprehensive understanding of the General Maintenance Manual system and associated Regulatory requirements (FAR’s) to ensure accurate observations during the audit process.
  • Responsible for producing scheduled audit reports
  • Responsible for maintaining the TOPM Volume 2.
  • Reviews and incorporates applicable changes to the manual as requested from field mechanics, and audit findings, Coordinates with Director of Maintenance and Chief Inspector to obtain FAA acceptance and implement changes.
  • Responsible for coordinating the rectification of audit findings and implementation of same.
  • Up to 25 percent travel may be required
  • Other duties as assigned.
