About The Position

This position provides consultation and training to foster parents, prospective adoption parents, and service providers to achieve the goal of adoption for children identified as not likely to result in reunification.

Requirements

• Two (2) of experience in Child Case Management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field
• Certified Child Welfare Professional
• Ability to make complex decisions and balance the needs of stakeholders involved
• Ability to be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
• Ability to manage execution and direct the work of others towards task completion
• Ability to provide high customer satisfaction with positive service delivery results

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Accompanies and assists the foster and adoptive parents as they begin to resolve problems, overcome obstacles, and access resources.
• Manage the adoption process to finalization. Including attendance at court hearings, completion of home studies, placement planning meetings, and permanency staffings.
• Maintain current knowledge of issues, trends, and developments relevant to area of expertise in adoption practices, administrative code, and Florida Statutes to ensure compliance.
• Input and audit Adoption Exchange information for service center. Responsible for documentation and maintenance of detailed files on all adoption cases for assigned service center. Monitors ongoing cases.
• Inform interested parties of the Adoption Reunion Registry. Verify all relatives are explored prior to considering adoption outside of the child(ren)'s biological family.
• Perform other duties as assigned
