Qualified candidates must have experience with high-end custom millwork and have an innate passion for their work product. Millworkers are required to know how to build countertops and build casework - both are vital to the fabrication of reception units and diewalls.

Requirements

  • Previous knowledge and experience in Millwork/Casework
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Millwork Bench Carpenter

Responsibilities

  • Have a full understanding of shop drawings and ability to read blueprints; know how to relate the elevations, plan views, and detail (section cut) views together in order to complete a project requirements and accurately read a tape measure.
  • Sand solid woods and veneers using pneumatic sanders as well as hand sanding.
  • Verify drawing and part dimensions before assembling projects.
  • Able to create jigs for many different applications, including routing reveals, arcs, radiuses, wall plates, wood profiles, etc.
  • Identify different species of wood (solids and veneers).
  • Fabricate solid surface material (i.e. Corian).
  • Apply plastic laminate to flat and radius vertical surfaces without causing bubbles and making sure that the joints are tight.
  • Capable of leading a team through the processes of fabricating diewalls, wall panel systems, standing and running trim projects, display cases, nurse stations, reception desks, etc.
  • Have your own tools or ability to obtain tools as indicated on the tool list (see page 2).
  • Have a strong ability to solve problems regarding machining mistakes, unclear shop drawings, etc. in order to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline orientated environment.
  • Maintain work area, organized and orderly, ensuring compliance with the company's safety and health regulations.
