About The Position

Atlantic Health System is Seeking an Advanced Practice Professional for the Stroke Program Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) to support the Comprehensive Stroke Program. The Neuroscience flagship of Atlantic Health System houses a 29-bed unit for neuroscience patients, as well as a 10-bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma and spinal surgery. The Neuroscience Advanced Practice Professional is a member of the neuroscience care team. This includes direct attending oversight and education during the training/education period with the goal of independent review of clinical cases with attending support when needed. Primary responsibility of the advanced practice professional would be the care and management of the cerebrovascular cases in both inpatient and outpatient setting. Expectations would be the ability to promote equity and excellence in neurological patient care, educational growth both personally and cross disciplines to become a leader in cerebrovascular care. The position would require care to be provided Monday through Friday with a mix of inpatient and outpatient clinic responsibility depending on shift assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Must have excellent communication and computer skills
  • Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of neurology experience preferred
