About The Position

Nemours Children’s Health Pensacola is seeking a casual Neurology Advanced Practice Providers to help staff at the Emerald Coast location of Studer Family Children's Hospital. Essential Functions: Manages and provides care for the patient requiring Neurology care utilizing collaborative consultation with team members, under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the direct attendance) of an attending Neurologist. Conducts parent interviews and takes family history. Collaborates with Neurologist concerning pertinent historical events, physical findings, diagnostic and therapeutic measures initiated on all admissions. Orders appropriate laboratory tests and procedures. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient. Participates in meeting goals of the department. Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy and Nemours standards. Participates in daily rounds. The hospital utilizes the Cerner EMR. Sacred Heart was founded by the Daughters of Charity in 1915. The Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital opened their doors on April 1, 1969. The campus includes an onsite Ronald McDonald House and in-house Ronald McDonald Family Room, a regional pediatric dialysis center, pediatric sedation for imaging studies There is a Pediatric Residency program that has been training Pediatricians since 1970. Requirements

  • Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Active license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida
  • Active Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure/Physician Assistant Licensure, with or without prescriptive authority
  • Current AHA BLS
