About The Position

Looking for a place that is different…. Horizon Health is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Women’s Health practice in Paris, IL.

We are a rural organization that includes a critical access hospital, extensive outpatient services, and rural health clinics, but much larger in scope and size than typical rural organizations. We have advanced technology, new offerings for the communities we serve, strong specialty support, and still have the small-town approach and values that make our organization so special.

We are looking for an APP candidate with experience, compassion, and strong clinical skills. This APP will work primarily in an outpatient setting with our OBGYN to care for patients seeking Women’s Health care for things like family planning and contraception, well woman exams, gynecological conditions, and menopause etc.

Horizon health:

Horizon Health is staffed with 20 primary care physicians and providers, with specialty support in behavioral health, urogynecology, general surgery, orthopedics, spine, pain, dermatology, podiatry, wound care, cosmetics, endocrinology, and cardiology.
Additionally, we have 11 visiting specialists that see patients in the clinic each month. The hospital has a 24/7 hospitalist service and convenient care for patients.

In 2024 Horizon Health started an expansion project of our Emergency Department, acquired Willowbrook Memory Care, and invested in a state-of-the-art mammography suite

Salary range: $113,400-$126,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and the potential to contribute to the growth and success of the Women’s Health Program.

Requirements

• Current license as an Advanced Practice Provider in the State of Illinois.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation-BLS.
• Compassionate patient centered approach to care
• Excellent time management skills
• Exceptional communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Preferred two (2) years of Advance Practice Provider experience ideally in women’s health or similar specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, treatment, and evaluation for new and existing surgical patients
• Post-Operative follow-ups
• Inpatient rounding and consultations
• Pre-Surgery workups in collaboration with our Pre-Anesthesia Clinic
• Patient education pre- and post-surgical procedures
• Office procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
