About The Position

Provides primary care to patients following established standards and practices in collaboration with physician in the clinic. Clinic Duties: -Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM -Management of Pulmonary Disease such as COPD, Lung Nodule Management, Chronic Cough, Tuberculosis, and other related pulmonary diseases. -12-14 clinic patients per day

Requirements

  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Missouri
  • BLS Certification
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment
  • Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations
  • Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions
  • Ability to learn and efficiency utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs

Nice To Haves

  • Three years' experience as a family nurse practitioner and Physician Assistant Preferred.
  • Experience with Pulmonary Diagnoses preferred.
