About The Position

Join our dedicated team at MSK as an Advanced Practice Provider, working in an APP-driven clinic, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members. You'll provide comprehensive care to pre-surgical testing patients both in-person and via telehealth, conduct history and physical assessments, complete anesthesia evaluations, coordinate consultations and work closely with surgical, anesthesia, and medical staff to optimize patients for the Operating Room. Your work directly reduces surgical risk, prevents delays or cancellations, and enhances the overall patient experience from assessment through recovery.

Requirements

  • Current New York State (NYS) and New Jersey (willing to obtain) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • Related National NP certification
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in cardiac, ICU, or oncology surgery
  • OR Graduate from an accredited PA program, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active New York State and New Jersey State (willing to obtain) license or be qualified for state licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in cardiac, ICU, or oncology surgery
  • Exercises decisive clinical judgment to optimize patients pre-operatively and prevent surgical delays.
  • Synthesizes complex medical data to determine surgical readiness and risk stratification.
  • Drives interdisciplinary alignment across surgery, anesthesia, and care teams to ensure seamless perioperative planning.
  • Adapts rapidly to evolving clinical priorities and patient needs.
  • Balances competing stakeholder demands while maintaining safety, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Optimizes clinic workflows and resource utilization to enhance access and quality outcomes.
  • Communicates with clarity and authority, educating patients and delivering concise clinical recommendations.
  • Builds trust across diverse populations through professionalism, empathy, and cultural competence.
