The Ford Product Concepting Team is looking for a Communication Design Analyst to support the visual articulation of future mobility solutions. Reporting to the Lead Communication Designer, you will be responsible for the "hands-on" creation of visual assets that translate complex technical and strategic data into clear, human-centered narratives. As an Analyst, your role is to bridge the gap between raw information and polished communication. You will work closely with researchers, engineers, and designers to synthesize findings into infographics, experience maps, and presentation assets that make the abstract feel tangible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Communication Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a design-heavy role (Agency, Corporate Innovation, or Product Design).
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or related design software. .
  • Strong portfolio showcasing Information Design (the ability to make complex things simple) and a high level of craft in typography and layout.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a "brief" and translate it into multiple visual options.

Responsibilities

  • Visual Synthesis: Transform complex data sets, technical architectures, and research findings into clear, compelling infographics and diagrams.
  • Asset Production: Execute high-quality visual assets for executive presentations, including storyboards, user journey maps, and conceptual interface mockups.
  • Narrative Support: Assist the Lead Designer in building out presentation decks, ensuring a logical flow, visual consistency, and alignment with Ford’s brand voice.
  • Template & System Management: Maintain and evolve the team’s visual library, templates, and design systems to ensure rapid and consistent output across multiple projects.
  • Collaborative Iteration: Work alongside cross-functional teams to quickly iterate on visual concepts based on evolving technical constraints or user feedback.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all communication materials are accurate, typographically sound, and visually polished before they reach internal stakeholders.
