The UI Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is seeking a 50% FTE APP or PA who will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team by providing medical and psychological services to children and young adults in the Center for Disabilities and Development. In accordance with scope of practice as outlined by applicable state law, regulations, institutional policies and practice agreements, the position will independently conduct comprehensive medical, psychosocial, and developmental health history, physical assessments, establish medical and psychiatric diagnoses, order and evaluates developmental, behavioral, and diagnostic studies, and develop treatment plans. This position may be eligible for a transition and relocation allowance. About the Department of Pediatrics: The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is a national leader in pediatric medicine. About the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics: The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) provides compassionate and state-of-the-art clinical care for children with a variety of challenges and difficulties, including developmental (cognitive, language, social, behavioral, motor) delays, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, hearing/vision impairments, ADHD, learning disorders (such as dyslexia), feeding disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, chronic pain syndromes, and cerebral palsy. The DBP Division also provides leadership for the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital Autism Center, which is a collaborative program of the Stead Family Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Psychiatry.
