About The Position

GDMS Maritime & Strategic Systems is experiencing rapid growth and needs highly capable, highly flexible people to support this growth. We’re looking for individuals that can quickly deploy to GDMS locations across the US to support our mission-critical programs. You may choose to integrate long-term with that location, or rotate to a new location and learn a whole new product line. As a Software Engineer in this unique role, you’ll help engineer the brains behind the brawn for ships, submarines, undersea networks and other advanced defense systems. High level preferred skills or experiences: • Developing applications in C, C++/STL, Java, or JavaScript • Test and design document writing (requirements tracing) • MATLAB with digital signal processing experience is a plus

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Highly flexible and willing to quickly adapt to new teams
  • Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Creative thinker capable of applying new information quickly to solve challenging problems
