If you’re looking for a challenge, you’ve just found it.As the Advanced Test Engineer, you’ll participate in the testing and evaluation of new and installed systems, products and special devices at both Progeny and customer sites. Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, you’ll prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle. In addition to testing, you'll provide on-site support to remote sites where the program requires support. This is largely limited to Groton, CT and Newport, RI, however there may be additional sites to support. This position involves troubleshooting installations at customer sites, and working with customer and stakeholder personnel to identify and resolve issues as they arise. Finally, this role includes performing system installations and updates at customer sites.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with the AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10 systems.
