We believe the role of a conventional veterinary assistant has not realized its full potential in any GP or urgent-care clinical environment, and it is our mission to bring this role to the modern day. Here at Bond Vet, our advanced veterinary assistants use their medical knowledge and clinical skills to provide routine and urgent care every day. You’ll participate in surgery and dental procedures, run some of your own appointments with assistants, and educate the pet parents who walk in our door. We'll look out for you and encourage you to grow your skill set, helping you learn and setting up appropriate CE events and mentorship to support you through your career with us. This is a full time (30-40 hrs/week) position with a rotating schedule of 10 hr shifts.

Requirements

3+ years experience as a veterinary assistant

Nice To Haves

Preferred skillset includes proficiency in:
Venipuncture including jugular vein
IV injections
IV catheter placement
Radiograph positioning
Monitoring anesthesia
Dental prophylaxis and radiographs

Responsibilities

Focus on patient care ; with support from our veterinary assistants and veterinary technicians you'll be able to concentrate on the patients in front of you. These will include but not be limited to:
Patient Handling and Husbandry
Client education
Surgical/dental and anesthesia management
Detailed record keeping
Diagnostic management
Medication administration
Emergency triage and response
Work alongside veterinarians and veterinary technicians from all corners of our industry, pushing the boundaries of veterinary medicine and providing top-quality patient care, supporting communities across your region.
Supported by our Medical leadership team, attend monthly educational events and activities to help grow your knowledge and develop your career.
On-staff specialists will help you navigate new cases and realms of medicine.
Use innovative technologies , new medical equipment, and more as you pilot clinic tools that have not yet broken into the mainstream.
