About The Position

This position offers a motivated candidate the opportunity to work within multiple facets of the advertising sales division in an organization that reaches over 53% of Floridians each month through robust digital and traditional media offerings. You will enhance your skills in client retention and lead development, as well as help create programs for self-serve client acquisition. As an Advertising Intern, you will work effectively with customers, the internal Marketing Team, and Sales Leadership on both print and digital products for the Orlando Sentinel and Sun Sentinel.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Florida college degree program with a focus on advertising, marketing, sales, business, communications, or a related field
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, interacting effectively with team members, management, and customers
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Available Monday – Friday during business hours
• Reliable internet access when working remotely
• Must be willing to submit and pass the necessary required checks

Responsibilities

• Contact lapsed customers and sales prospects for appointment setting
• Verify that contact information in the customer database is up-to-date by reaching out to existing customers via phone and email or performing web research
• Generate leads, including names and contact information, for various upcoming events and initiatives
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Leadership to design and implement advertising that promotes products and services while encouraging customer engagement and retention
• Assist with creation of advertising elements that may include digital, social media, radio, email, and print
• Attend sales and client meetings
