About The Position

The Statewide Advertising team is responsible for advertising, recruitment and veterans’ preference determination. How you will make an impact: Process service requests to advertise vacant positions. Manage updates to requisitions received from the Region/Facility Recruitment Hub. Identify and use a variety of recruitment sources and job boards to advertise in addition to the People First System. Review candidate applications that claim veteran's preference and determine if they meet eligibility. Create and/or monitor reports related to advertising and recruiting. Participate in hiring events/job fairs to recruit talent. Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Two years of professional or non-professional Human Resources experience.
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication; interviewing principles and techniques; methods of data collection.
  • Ability to: communicate effectively; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures; professionally interact with both internal and external customers in a tactful, courteous and effective manner; record, collect, evaluate and analyze data; work independently by planning, organizing and coordinating work assignments; listen effectively; speak clearly and correctly; and utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Candidate Profile (application) must be completed in its entirety.
  • Include supervisor names and phone numbers for all periods of employment.
  • Account for and explain any gaps in employment so that the hiring process is not delayed.
  • Experience, education, training, knowledge, skills and/or abilities as well as responses to pre-qualifying questions must be verifiable to meet the minimum qualifications.
  • It is unacceptable to use the statement “See Resume” in place of entering work history.
