About The Position

The Advertising Specialist is responsible for production, coordinating, implementing, and all aspects and activities of General Marketing Advertising including in accordance with the mission and objectives of the company following established policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree plus 2 years’ experience in marketing Or 4 years of Marketing experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in casino industry entertainment, slots, and table games.
  • Knowledge and experience creating advertising traffic plans.
  • Knowledge and experience working with advertising agency.
  • Held accountable, to a very high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Must have experience in maintaining and updating a website for a business.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and guest service skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, internet, digital marketing, and office equipment.
  • Must have a valid Driver License and be insurable through Eagle Mountain Casino’s insurance carrier.
  • Willing to attend trainings and train others.
  • Willing to work some nights and weekends.
  • Willing to travel for events and trainings.
  • Able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and sit.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Noise level is moderate to high when on casino floor.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all internal and external advertising efforts printed and digital for the company.
  • Responsible for flow of information by maintaining written and verbal communication amongst all departments to ensure efficient service.
  • Coordinates all planning, presenting, and execution of company advertising goals with outside Advertising Agencies.
  • Coordinates with marketing team, photo and video opportunities on or off property for the use of advertising.
  • Review and revise as needed advertising buys billboards, radio, TV, and digital with advertising agency.
  • Reviews and approves requests for or external use of company designs, photos, and videos for advertising, printed, digital images, videos, and websites.
  • Plans, prepares, and distributes the updated advertising traffic plans with advertising agency.
  • Create and send copy for advertising material, promotions, concerts, restaurant, club, or property branding.
  • Participate in media interviews, TV, Radio, etc.
  • Develop annual advertising plan with Marketing Management for casino amenities, entertainment and special events.
  • Proofs, revise, or approves, scripts, voice overs, and design, from advertising agency or outside generated marketing material.
  • Arrange for billing or payment in accordance with contract agreements with advertising media (Deposits, Final payment, Commissions and accounts payable).
  • Analyzing activities, cost, operations and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Communicates advertising plans with Social Media Specialist and Entertainment Coordinator to compliment marketing goals.
  • Retain information concerning all current promotions, entertainment and events.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism within the department.
  • Updates and maintains company’s website, website information, and presentation under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
  • Train, supervise, discipline, schedule, and evaluate team members as needed.
  • Assist with hiring process.
  • Prepare and train all staff on various marketing programs.
  • Must attend and be certified in all applicable trainings required.
  • All other departmental duties as assigned.
