About The Position

The Aero Gas Turbines Technical Manager is responsible for managing process and coordination of scope of work.

Requirements

  • 7 years in Construction and commissioning of Aero Gas Turbines TMs and LMs, electrical and Controls or Mechanical.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • OR High School Diploma with 7-10 years of experience in construction and commissioning of Aero Gas Turbines, TMs and LMs, electrical and controls or mechanical.
  • Ability to travel to work locations in Houston, Texas area as well as other locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Operation, maintenance, commissioning of Aero gas turbines.
  • Prior experience in Power Plant operations and Maintenance.
  • Prior experience with Aero gas turbines systems.
  • Leads with a Lean mindset and is skilled in applying Lean tools to improving business operations. Specifically Daily Management, Standard Work, and Monthly Operating Reviews based on Bowler/KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a process to check the condition of the units before the procurement process.
  • Produce status reports of the surveyed units.
  • Coordinate with Engineering team all the required Refurbishment scopes of work.
  • Produce the list of required parts for the refurbishment process.
  • Use GE tools to order parts and raise engineering queries.
  • Estimate the budget of the Refurbishment work.
  • Contact the refurbishment facility (internal or external to GEV) and agree with them on: Scope of work Time schedule Required Parts Cost of the process
  • Supervise the work during execution
  • Obtain final report
  • Coordinate the time schedule of refurbishment among several units that need to be refurbished
