About The Position

PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team in Grand Prairie! In this role you will be responsible for leading and executing quality assurance activities across aerospace manufacturing operations. You will ensure compliance with AS9100, customer, and internal requirements while driving a strong culture of continuous improvement, product conformity, and regulatory integrity. You will also provide day‑to‑day direction to quality inspectors and technicians and serve as a key interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and external auditors. You will work onsite at our Grand Prairie, TX facility and report to the Senior Aerospace Production Quality Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of quality experience in aerospace manufacturing or regulated production environments.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Proficiency in inspection techniques, GD&T, and quality tools.
  • Data‑driven problem‑solving and decision‑making ability.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop Quality Inspectors and Technicians to ensure consistent application of aerospace quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer‑specific aerospace requirements.
  • Maintain and enforce Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
  • Support internal, customer, and third‑party audits; ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper execution of incoming, in‑process, and final inspections for aerospace products.
  • Review and disposition nonconforming material in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Lead investigative efforts for quality escapes, defects, and customer complaints.
  • Approve or support MRB (Material Review Board) activities and decisions.
  • Lead root cause analysis using structured methods (e.g., 5‑Why, Fishbone, FMEA)Drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) effectiveness.
  • Analyze quality metrics (scrap, rework, defects, audit findings) and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to reduce variation and improve process capability
