About The Position

Join Aegis Worldwide as an Aerospace CNC Expert (Direct Hire, Day Shift) Step onto the floor of an aerospace machine shop where microns matter. As a CNC Machining Specialist, you’ll start your day reviewing engineering drawings and CAD models, planning your setups, and dialing in offsets so complex components meet exacting specifications every time. You take pride in quality, safety, and continuous improvement—and it shows in every part you produce. A day in the life Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills and/or lathes in a high-precision aerospace environment. Machine intricate parts to tight tolerances using engineering drawings and GD&T callouts. Cut aerospace-grade materials: aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys. Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and process sheets to execute accurate production runs. Perform in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, and CMM to verify features and dimensions. Adhere to AS9100 and related aerospace quality standards throughout the workflow. Track tool wear, adjust offsets, and monitor machine performance to improve efficiency and part quality. Partner with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively. What you bring 3+ years of CNC machining in an aerospace machine shop.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of CNC machining in an aerospace machine shop.
  • Proficiency editing G-code and performing complete machine setups.
  • Strong command of GD&T and blueprint reading.
  • Proven ability to hold tolerances of ±0.0005" or better.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
  • You are proficient in CNC Programming
  • CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
  • Machine Setups for Production Runs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 4-axis and 5-axis machining.
  • CNC programming with Mastercam or similar CAM software.
  • Hands-on experience operating a CMM.
