About The Position

We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins, in the position of AETC Technician. AETC designs, develops, qualifies, and manufactures a variety of product applications, which includes fire extinguisher cartridges, which provide the energy that operates the fire extinguishers on military and commercial aircraft. Other products manufactured at AETC include SMDC initiators, cutters, piston-pusher, piston pullers, valves, and pyrotechnic time delays. Our products, in some cases, are intended to operate explosive devices such as EEDs (Electro-Explosive Devices), EBWs (Exploding Bridge Wires), EFIs (Exploding Foil Initiators), and other similar devices. AETC is located in Burton, Texas.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand complex drawing and assembly instructions.
  • Ability to use common hand tools to assemble electromechanical assemblies.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes.
  • Must be able to use Microscopes, screw drivers, torque tools and other common hand tools.
  • In our efforts to maintain a safe and drug-free workplace, AETC requires that candidates complete a satisfactory background check and pass a drug screen prior to employment.
  • Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with soldering irons is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Removal of and reinstallation of Electrical Assemblies from unit housing
  • Perform Conformal Coating and Bonding requirements for the units.
  • Build Manifolds for units that require modification.
  • Remove and replace through hole and surface mount electronic components.
  • Remove corrosion and clean all unit surfaces then touch up bare metal with chem film as required.
  • Perform Final Assembly of units.
