As a result, unlike many other OEM or supplier organizations, Garrett Advancing Motion has visibility across a broad range of OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers. We are seeking a dynamic Aftermarket Sales Manager to join our team in Torrance, California. This high-impact role is a key member of the North American Aftermarket Sales Team, responsible for driving commercial success in across the service replacement and performance business. The position focuses on strategic growth across assigned OEM accounts and aftermarket distributors, while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities to meet revenue and material margin targets. The ideal candidate is a structured and results-driven sales leader with strong strategic planning capabilities and a deep understanding of omni-channel sales, sell-in/sell-out dynamics, and event-based marketing. This role offers the opportunity to influence Garrett’s aftermarket strategy across North America, working closely with the NA Sales Director, global stakeholders, and a diverse network of external partners.

Requirements

  • University Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a business / commercial discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years traction within commercial leadership roles bringing:
  • Strong track record in development of sales to a channel of dealers and distributors.
  • Omni-Channel experience preferred within automotive, aftermarket.
  • Ideally coming from automotive aftermarket industry.
  • Experience working within international environments (multicultural) as well as complex matrix organizations.
  • Developed and implemented Channel Development strategy and action plan for multiple markets and/or verticals.
  • Led a distribution network expansion plan through active prospection on the field, preparation of value proposition and market potential analysis.
  • Developed network performances and improved dealer quality through tailored training programs, marketing and merchandising initiatives, other.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue and Margin Growth: Accountable for achieving sales, material margin, and product mix targets by partnering closely with North American customers to shape and execute strategic sales initiatives and promotional campaigns.
  • Expand Market Presence: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through channel development, OEM account expansion, and acquisition of new customers.
  • Deliver Market Intelligence: Provide timely and accurate forecasts and market insights to key stakeholders including the NA Sales Director, Product Manager, Marcom team, and Demand Planning & Forecasting departments to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Set Strategic Customer Objectives: Establish annual customer targets and development programs, while managing all commercial interfaces to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Champion Customer Satisfaction: Lead global coordination on customer issues, monitor performance against key supplier metrics, and drive corrective actions through to resolution.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Collaborate with Customer Support Teams to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of parts, maintaining high service levels.
  • Deliver Financial Results: Ensure achievement of Annual Operating Plan (AOP), accounts receivable goals, sales forecasts, and gross margin targets through proactive commercial oversight.
  • Amplify Brand & Sales Impact: Collaborate with the Marketing team to design and execute targeted campaigns that elevate brand equity and drive sales across all verticals and customer segments.
  • Support Strategic Events: Represent Garrett at distributor, racing and industry events—including occasional weekend engagements—to strengthen customer relationships and market visibility.
  • Support product launches with go-to-market strategies and promotional plans to meet business plan targets.

  • Management Incentive Plan: Subject to the eligibility requirements and the rules set out in the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) in place from time to time, you are eligible to participate in the SIP program, which shall provide you on an annual basis, with an annual target bonus award opportunity equal to (30%) of your base salary.
