About The Position

Sells new and used agricultural and turf equipment to new and existing customers.

Requirements

  • 1+ years equipment sales experience or Ag related field is preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and in good standing
  • Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment
  • Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to work flexible hours and to work on your own
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  • A drive to meet and talk to new people
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Represents the company for the sale of machinery (agricultural, lawn and garden) to customers
  • Keep track of equipment inventory and keep a constant awareness of the products available for sale
  • Know and use company provided systems and tools to follow a defined sales process
  • Work closely with Parts and Service Departments to provide customers solutions and develop long term relationships
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
  • Develop an awareness for competitive activity and products as well as business and industry trends
  • Develop lasting relationships with customers to better understand their business activities
  • Achieve and maintain a strong knowledge of used equipment markets and values to properly evaluate trades
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
  • Effectively communicate with management as needed in relation to competitive activities and products as well as customers business activities
  • Attends and participate in applicable sales training events, seminars, and classes
  • Delivers sold equipment to customers
  • Other duties as assigned
