About The Position

The Aggregate Sales Associate will work with Recycling Sales Manager to identify, qualify, and close opportunities within our growing concrete and asphalt recycling operations. The primary emphasis will be on identifying opportunities and generating new business. The Aggregate Sales Associate will be responsible for customer relationships and use excellent communication and interpersonal skills to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience preferred in construction, aggregates, or industrial B2B sales.
  • Previous customer relations management experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess excellent mathematic skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers.
  • Must be an effective problem solver.
  • Flexible and adaptable to market fluctuations.
  • Professional, friendly, possesses a positive attitude, self-motivated, and proactive.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher education; 2-4 year post-secondary education, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gain full understanding of operations at all CTI Recycling Sites.
  • Obtain and maintain IDOT Aggregate Technician certification.
  • Develop new business by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities through industry relationships, prospecting, cold calling, and other techniques.
  • Maintain relationships with key decision makers for existing clients while also seeking out new relationships and marketing opportunities to achieve sales goals.
  • Drive the sales process from start to finish; From lead generation and quoting to closing and job execution. Ensure the entire process is seamless for the customer.
  • Maintain accurate customer, quote, and order information within the Fast-Weigh software system. Become adept at navigating all features of the system.
  • Follow up on overdue A/R balances in a timely and professional manner.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) set by the company.
  • Work with contractors, engineers, and owners on material approval and ensure all submittals are delivered in a clear and timely fashion.
  • Establish and maintain knowledge of all upcoming projects within our service area.
  • Expand the sales of both recycled materials and hauling services in Central Iowa.
  • Communicate clearly with Recycling Sales Manager and Ops team to ensure our production plan is tailored meet upcoming sales demand.
  • Seek out meaningful market intelligence regarding competitors/market share and clearly communicate it to peers and leadership.
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations set forth by CTI policies, OSHA, and Federal and State Laws.
  • Other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
