About The Position

Air Dominance Lean team is looking to add an experienced Lean Practitioner (Level 4). The successful candidate will be a Lean+ / Operational Excellence expert to support Boeing Production System implementation, and maturity, working collaboratively across the F-15 Production System to embed lean principles and tactics to achieve business objectives. This teammate will be responsible for working in partnership with BDS Program and manufacturing teams, along with other stakeholders throughout the enterprise, to drive the integration of BPS / Operational Excellence best practices to enable world-class manufacturing system performance and efficiency. This includes training and implementation of 5S+ standard practices across the STL Site and Air Dominance Programs to achieve key milestones maturing sustained 5S+ practices to world class levels. The successful candidate will be expected to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach with internal and external partners and leverage his/her knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability to shape the planning, development, and execution of Lean+ manufacturing solutions to satisfy program needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ year of experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years’ of experience managing metrics to drive data driven solutions/decisions
  • 3+ experience leading or managing process improvement projects
  • Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating Lean+ workshops (e.g., AIW / 3P / Kaizen / Voice of Customer)
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
