The Air Quality Community Outreach Assistant, will implement specific educational and marketing strategies to raise awareness of regional air quality challenges and provide education on voluntary strategies and resources to reduce air quality impacts. The position will complete various outreach projects which may include but not limited to: developing a variety of communication materials, website development, conducting outreach events, promotions, and marketing activities, assisting with implementing the ozone garden outreach project, and other initiatives as needed. This role involves multiple opportunities to work on projects aimed at enhancing community engagement and education on regional air quality issues, promoting voluntary actions to enhance air quality, and building strong regional partnerships. The ideal candidate will have interest in environmental education, community planning, marketing, and project management, with a passion for environmental quality and community. This position is primarily in-person, based out of our office in Colorado Springs. However, the Air Quality Community Outreach Assistant may frequently work out in the community, engaging with partners, attending and hosting events, and collaborating with various stakeholders across the region. Community engagement is a vital aspect of this role, and the ability to connect with both existing and potential new partners is essential.
