Tracks and triage broken or unserviceable cabin items, coordinate parts identification and procurement, and drive on time resolution through line/base maintenance, supply chain, and vendor partners. Proficiency in Airbus MROS (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Services) is essential for interpreting technical documentation, ordering/repair flows, and ensuring cabin reliability and compliance. This role directly impacts on time performance, cabin availability, and regulatory compliance, ensuring consistent, premium onboard experience. The Airbus Cabin Interior Supervisor will also be a dotted-line report to the Commercial Senior Manager of Passenger Services.

Requirements

  • FAA A&P Technician Certificate is required.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in commercial aircraft maintenance, cabin interiors, or component engineering, ideally on Airbus types.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Airbus MROS (catalog navigation, repair/overhaul flows, parts ordering/repair logistics, and technical content usage).
  • Strong knowledge of cabin systems/components (seats & seat actuation, IFEC, PSU, bins, galleys/lavatories, lighting, monuments, soft goods).
  • Familiarity with MEL/CDL, EASA/FAA regulations, and airworthiness documentation workflows.
  • Proficiency in at least one airline/MRO maintenance information system (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, Ultramain) and strong Excel/Office skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple AOG/priority cases under time pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with a track record of cross functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work a shift schedule which may include nights/weekends, and on call support as needed.
  • Valid passport for travel without restrictions.
  • Up to 60% to line/base stations and vendor/MRO sites domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to enter confined spaces, lift up to 60lbs, and work on stands/lifts in the cabin environment while following all safety procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SB/SL incorporation, configuration management, and cabin certification considerations (e.g., flammability, HIC, 16g seating).
  • Supplier management experience and warranty recovery.
  • Data analysis experience (reliability KPIs, dashboards, visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau).

Responsibilities

  • Cabin Defect Management: Proactively capture, track, and prioritize cabin defects (e.g., seats, IFEC/IFE screens, PSU, overhead bins, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, carpets, monuments, cabin lighting, safety placards). Own the defect lifecycle: report ? assess ? troubleshoot ? parts resolution ? return to service ? closeout documentation. Align corrective actions with MEL/CDL, company policies, and Airworthiness requirements; minimize deferrals and repetitive removals.
  • Parts Identification & Procurement Determine correct P/N, IPC references, SB/SL/AMP requirements, alternates/interchangeability, and Airbus MROS catalog data to avoid mis orders. Create and manage purchase/repair orders, AOGs, and vendor RMAs; coordinate pool/loan/borrow options when needed. Partner with Supply Chain to optimize lead times, routable/repairable routing, warranty recovery, and core return compliance.
  • Planning & Execution Develop clear resolution timelines and maintenance work packages for line, overnight, and base checks. Stage parts/tools/materials in advance; ensure task cards and MRO work scopes are accurate and complete. Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Engineering, Cabin Appearance, and Line Ops to complete work within SLA windows without disrupting the schedule.
  • Technical Documentation & Systems Use Airbus MROS and OEM documentation to validate repair methods, efficiency, and configuration control. Update and maintain accurate records in the company’s maintenance systems (e.g., AMOS or equivalent), ensuring traceability and airworthiness release documentation is complete. Support SB/SL/MPD/CPCP cabin-related compliance and configuration management.
  • Reliability & Continuous Improvement Analyze reliability data, repeat/removal trends, and cabin defect heat maps; recommend design changes, supplier quality improvements, and preventive maintenance tasks. Propose spares strategy (min/max, critical spares) and vendor performance improvements; participate in root cause analysis and RCCA actions. Maintain a high standard of cabin appearance and functionality, aligned with brand standards.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management Serve as the main point of contact for cabin interior issues on Airbus fleet assignments. Interface daily with Maintenance Control, Line/Base Stations, Engineering, Inflight/Customer Experience, Supply Chain, and Airbus/OEM/MRO vendors. Escalate blockers early; communicate ETAs, risk, and workarounds to operations and customer teams.
