About The Position

Are you ready to flex your aircraft inspection expertise into a Lead position? This is your opportunity! As an Aircraft Inspector V, you will provide expert oversight for all aircraft inspection activities, ensuring the highest levels of safety and compliance. You will act as a subject matter expert and lead continuous improvement initiatives. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Advanced experience with and knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance.
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/90 rotation.
  • A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor and guide subordinates.
  • Thorough understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.
  • Comprehensive understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
  • Prior experience with first article inspections and/or aircraft modifications.
  • Experience as an FAA Designee for Conformity Inspections.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for inspection processes.
  • Ensure comprehensive and accurate documentation of all inspections.
  • Mentor and train all levels of inspectors.
  • Develop and maintain advanced inspection protocols.
