Aircraft Mechanic Trainer / Supervisor- Edwards Provides task qualification and certification training on launch, recovery, ground handling, inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on assigned aircraft. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Trains mechanics and technical representatives to trouble shoot, diagnose and solve unusual and complex maintenance problems. Provides familiarization training on technical order diagrams and procedures, use of test equipment for analysis of airframe, engine, flight control, pneudraulic, fuel, electrical/electronic systems, problems. Trains mechanics to oversee and performs aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations. Trains mechanics to inspect aircraft structures, systems, components, and related systems. Trains mechanics to interpret inspection findings and determines adequacy of corrective actions. Trains senior mechanics to perform and sign off aircraft safe for flight inspections. Trains mechanics to perform launch, recovery, scheduled and unscheduled inspections and maintenance. Trains mechanics to perform preflight/thru flight/BPO inspections, ground handling, minor maintenance, and servicing. Trains mechanics to perform routine troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance of all electro-mechanical systems and components on the aircraft at the organizational level of maintenance. Trains mechanics to service aircraft landing gear, tires, and hydraulic systems. Trains mechanics on removal and installation of aircraft components. Perform all other position-related duties as assigned.
