About The Position

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Aircraft Technician A (Electrical) to join our H125 Final Assembly Line team based in Columbus, MS. You will be part of the team to perform work on assigned aircraft or parts in the avionics function. Configure and conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems. Diagnose malfunctions or failures and make adjustments, repairs or replacements of parts or components. Your working environment: On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience assembling/installing electrical/electronic components, preferably on aircraft.
  • Familiarity with common aviation type tooling.
  • Citizenship: US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)

Nice To Haves

  • Avionics and Cabling Class (like offered by East Mississippi Community College) is desirable.
  • A current A&P or FCC license is preferred but NOT required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform configurations of complete systems.
  • Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
  • Conduct bonding checks of electrical installations.
  • Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment in completing work assignments.
  • Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances and other specification requirements.
