Please read details of this position. This position is located on the Island of Kaua'i (STATE OF HAWAI'I). As a Airport Security Professional - CCTV Unit in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Requirements

  • 21+ years of age
  • Security Experience: 1+ years
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, concourses, baggage areas, curbside, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in, screening, and service locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations, local law enforcement, and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Prepare complete and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and irregular conditions, and communicate observations promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
