Ambulance Driver - PRN
About The Position
Ambulance Driver Position Status: PRN (On Call) This position is not eligible for benefits. Application Deadline: May 27, 2026. Applications will close sooner if a qualified candidate is identified. The Haxtun Health Ambulance department does not offer regularly scheduled work shifts. Weekday coverage is provided by the first available responders. Weekends are covered by two on-call responders. On-call shifts are usually from 6:00am on Saturday through 6:00 am on Monday mornings. On-call responders receive hourly on-call pay. Commission is based on a per-trip basis, according to a predetermined rate table. About the Role: Ambulance Driver responds to calls for Inter-facility transfers to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and to transport the patient to a medical facility under the guidelines outlined in the Haxtun Ambulance EMS Protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess and maintain CPR certification for healthcare, training available.
- Possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License
- Possess or obtain ICS 100 & 700 for NIMS compliances
