At AMD, our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences—from AI and data centers, to PCs, gaming and embedded systems. Grounded in a culture of innovation and collaboration, we believe real progress comes from bold ideas, human ingenuity and a shared passion to create something extraordinary. When you join AMD, you’ll discover the real differentiator is our culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world’s most important challenges—striving for execution excellence, while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives. Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond. Together, we advance your career. THE ROLE: Candidate will be primarily responsible for ownership of horizontal activities around thermal sensing technology. This includes taking the analog IP from the design owner and overseeing the deployment of this for production in various SOC programs converging layout location, metal utilization, placement, gradient analysis, power rollups. Candidate would also interface to various productization teams to analyze test methodology, accuracy, test time in addition to being involved in silicon data collection, analysis and fit to process PDK and any associated simulation updates needed based on process analysis and silicon learnings. Candidate would extend this work in the future to other sensing circuits focusing on silicon data collection and process learnings. Candidate can also be provided additional opportunities to train junior design teams on process/design interactions in analog circuits and participate in broad reviews of analog design circuits and methodology. This position can include travel to the location of junior design teams for in person training, in addition to holding virtual training sessions in analog methodology, design and process interaction and best practices. THE PERSON: Candidate should be generally self-directed and be able to independently analyze data and take directions to management for actions. Candidate should be comfortable with working and interacting with many different teams including providing direction and resolving differences in design practices
