Led by the firm’s first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, driving a business-critical function focused on the firm’s future growth. As such, Global Marketing is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization consists of Corporate Reputation Marketing and business marketing teams, as well as center of excellence (COE) teams like paid media, research, and design. Together, these functions collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to drive commercial impact for the firm and the businesses we serve. The COO group within Global Marketing is responsible for operations, strategy, finance, and marketing strategy, transformation, and operations, setting direction for the function, partnering with the CMO on top-priority initiatives, technology and innovation (e.g., AI, automation), transformation, and ensuring executional excellence. As GS continues to invest in its marketing team, it is critical that we develop a firmwide process for strategies specifically focused on: AI and innovation, finance, operational excellence, and vendor management. The Strategy & Operations Sr. Analyst / Associate role will partner with the COO leadership team, as well as the marketing senior leadership team, to support across a range of strategy initiatives (e.g., AI and transformation roadmap and pilots), culture and comms projects (e.g., planning and executing on Town Halls, team events), and operations priorities (e.g., budgeting, planning, and tracking). Reporting into the COO team’s VP of Marketing Strategy and working closely with the COO Team’s VP of Marketing Operations, this Associate will help translate the firm’s strategic and operational priorities into action. This role requires a highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented individual with exceptional communication, project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills. This individual will independently manage complex projects, prioritize competing demands, and ensure seamless execution of key initiatives. This position demands a high level of discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization both within and outside of the business. The Associate will synthesize inputs from stakeholders across the firm—strategy, analytics, engineering, legal, risk, compliance, privacy, information security, and marketing domain teams—to structure workstreams, sequence delivery, and articulate program milestones and outcomes for senior management. The role will contribute to executive-ready communications and dashboards that clarify value, risk posture, and progress against objectives.
