About The Position

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the analysis, design, and documentation throughout the solution implementation lifecycle in Ocean Network Express North America. In close collaboration with regional and global Business Process Information Technology teams, the analyst will participate in projects supporting ONE Enterprise Architecture in NA and GHQ. This will include, but is not limited to, documenting business requirements for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) implementations, defining use cases for applications on Google platforms such as Google App Script, and other related initiatives. The role requires a blend of analytical and communication abilities, with contributions ranging from gathering business needs and documenting processes to coordinating user acceptance testing and providing post-implementation support. The position will report to the Manager of Business Systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business or systems analysis, with a focus on documenting and improving business processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate data, define issues, and propose logical solutions.
  • Exceptional ability to execute tasks and provide support to the team under pressure.
  • Very strong communication and collaborative skills. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with individuals across departments and across all levels, from staff to senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, as well as presentation skills.
  • Experience with business requirements gathering, process mapping (AS-IS and TO-BE), and use case development.
  • Familiarity with systems integration concepts, data flow mapping, and APIs.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks and concepts.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Business or Systems Analyst experience, or similar.
  • 1+ years experience supporting project management activities (e.g., scheduling, reporting, documentation).
  • Experience working within a structured software development or technology deployment lifecycle.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with UIPath RPA or similar automation platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google’s G-suite and collaboration tools preferred.
  • Experience in a global and/or enterprise organization of 1000+ people, or global transportation/logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, document, and maintain detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps for new and existing technology solutions.
  • Support the design and development teams by acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical resources, ensuring solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
  • Direct participation in ongoing improvement initiatives by coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), documenting test cases, and managing system change requests.
  • Assist in the management and execution of ad-hoc projects, including reporting on project status and coordinating tasks.
  • Maintain and promote initiatives according to the organization’s direction, assist in monitoring and guiding the RPA program through process documentation and analysis.
  • Coordinate and promote cross-region discussions for process standardization and documentation of new solutions.
  • Other duties as required.
