About The Position

The Casino Marketing Analyst supports the execution and optimization of casino campaigns targeting high-value guests. This position supports the design, development, and implementation of tools, analytics, and reporting to maximize net revenue for Carnival’s casino and enhance the company’s profitability. The role collaborates with teams such as Global Gaming (GG), Revenue Management (RM), Business Intelligence (BI), Customer Retention Marketing (CRM), and third-party agency partners, providing services to Carnival’s Casino Marketing Department.

Requirements

  • Business Administration, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative or technical field required. Master’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working with data pipelines, data processes, and data‑warehouse environments to support business operations. Must have demonstrated experience with SAS, R, SQL, Python, or equivalent tools, with the ability to read, debug, and modify existing code.
  • This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida, Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares lists of past guests for marketing campaigns based on guests’ past onboard behavior, focusing on casino operations. Must use logic, coding, knowledge of different databases and software, along with a strong understanding of the business in order to draw and analyze relevant data. Reviews, improves, optimizes, and automates existing casino campaign processes.
  • Defines, evaluates, and analyzes success metrics for core casino campaigns (ranging from mass market campaigns aimed at minimal value casino guests to high-value guests), trials, and tests. Reaches concrete conclusions through data interpretation and presents results clearly and concisely. Prepares and presents formal reviews to both the working team and senior management to drive results.
  • Partners with IT and GG to enhance and improve the quality and accuracy of available data. Provides guidance on data requirements (fields, tables, elements needed, and frequency of updates), writes queries, and conducts user acceptance testing (UAT) for each enhancement and new system.
  • Defines, evaluates, and analyzes success metrics for distressed inventory casino campaigns (opportunistic programs where cabins would otherwise sail empty or at a significantly reduced price), trials, and tests.
  • Reviews existing casino marketing processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for optimization. Creates and maintains process documentation and technical references for various casino-targeted campaigns to support knowledge transfer and cross-training opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
