Requirements

  • Analyst II 1-3 years of shipyard manufacturing experience and a High School Diploma, OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or other technical field, OR Equivalent combination of education and experience with demonstrated experience working in an analytical capacity required.
  • Analyst III 3-5 years of shipyard manufacturing experience and a High School Diploma, OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or other technical field, OR Equivalent combination of education and experience with demonstrated experience working in an analytical capacity required.
  • Analyst II 2 years' experience in a technical or business (Accounting or Finance) field, or shipyard manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Above average Excel and/or Access ability
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated management, project coordination and leadership skills required.
  • Strong written, oral communications and organizational skills required.
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products required.
  • Analyst III 5 years' experience in a technical field, business (Cost Accounting or Finance), or manufacturing field.
  • Advanced Excel, and/or Access ability

Nice To Haves

  • Proposal development experience is strongly desired.
  • Financial model development experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Leadership: Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) within the shipyard
  • Project Execution: Developing cost proposals for new Navy and commercial work with accurate, achievable hour/material cost estimates.
  • Developing and maintaining proposal support documents and checklists.
  • Creating financial models utilizing Excel functions and/or Access data queries.
  • Verifying change work scope via ship checks and technical drawing reviews.
  • Maintaining company baselines for all Programs.
  • Assisting management with departmental staffing plans.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) analysis.
  • Training and Development: Learn and apply the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) to cost proposals
  • Team Collaboration and Communication: Ability and willingness to work in, and promote, a true team environment.
  • Write Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and develop supporting exhibits and charts
  • Continuous Improvement: Reviewing / researching historical data and compiling summary reports to develop and maintain installation standards for use in estimating change work.
