Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Investment Operations professional to be an Analyst on our team. The Analyst supports Managers by ensuring data integrity, accurate portfolio accounting and timely reconciliation across custodian, fund administrators, counterparties and internal systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, vendor management experience and a deep understanding of investment operations best practices. Acadian supports a hybrid work environment, employees are on-site in the Boston office 3 days a week.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or another financial related degree preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of operations-related experience, preferably in Investment Management.
• Strong understanding of investment instruments including foreign equities, fixed income and derivatives.
• Experience working with or overseeing fund administrators, custodian banks and outsource providers.
• A strong analytical background, vendor management experience and knowledge of financial accounting principles and best practices.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with data analysis and exception reporting.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills with a team player mentality.
• Must be detail oriented, flexible, able to work within a team-orientated environment, with vendors, as well as independently.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills and willingness to assume additional responsibilities within group

Responsibilities

• Monthly/Quarterly/Annual/Daily Reporting – Perform oversight and quality control of third-party deliverables.
• Deliver monthly statements to clients using in-house report delivery tools
• Assist with creating/maintaining the outsource operating model for the daily and monthly reporting process.
• Oversight of Cash and Asset Reconciliation – Review currency balance and holdings exceptions between Acadian accounting systems and custodians/counterparties using reconciliation tools.
• Check that currency accounts are not overdrawn.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data alignment and process integrity.
• Oversee & Maintain Custodian Relationships – Work with the custodians to ensure an effective working relationship and to secure proper attention and maintenance of client accounts.
