Summary We are seeking a People Operations Analyst to support HR analytics, benefits administration, and operational execution across the employee lifecycle. This role partners closely with the Senior Director of People and People Operations team to ensure benefits programs are well-managed, data is accurate and actionable, and People Operations processes scale effectively within a growing real estate investment management platform. This role offers hands-on experience with benefits administration while building broader HR analytics and operations expertise. This person will work closely with experienced People leaders and contribute directly to programs that impact employee experience, cost management, and compliance within a sophisticated investment platform. This role requires 4 days in office at our San Francisco, CA location. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and service-minded, with experience supporting benefits programs and an interest in leveraging data to improve employee experience and operational rigor.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in People Operations, Benefits Administration, or a People Operations Analyst role
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits programs and related administration processes
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience working with HRIS and benefits platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in real estate, asset management, financial services, or professional services a plus
  • Exposure to open enrollment, ACA reporting, or benefits audits
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Analytics, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • HR Analytics & Reporting Produce and maintain HR and benefits-related reports and dashboards, including headcount, turnover, hiring, performance, demographics, eligibility, participation, and cost metrics
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Own data accuracy and reporting across key employee lifecycle events (new hires, transfers, promotions, leaves, and terminations).
  • Partner with Accounting on benefits reconciliation, invoicing audits, and budget forecasting
  • Support People Operations Team members with workforce planning, compensation cycles, and performance review analytics
  • Assist with HRIS administration, data audits, system updates, and reporting workflows
  • Develop and maintain documentation, templates, and process guides to support consistent HR operations
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests from internal team members
  • Benefits Administration & Support Assist in coordinating benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations with carriers and HRIS
  • Support annual open enrollment planning, testing, communications, and execution
  • HR Operations & Compliance Maintain accurate employee data across HRIS and benefits systems
  • Support compliance reporting and documentation, including ACA reporting, audits, plan documents, required notices, and workers’ compensation filings
  • Assist with payroll, benefits, and coordinate workers’ compensation claims to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Support data privacy, access controls, and audit readiness for HR systems and employee data.
  • Process Improvement, Program Support & Special Projects Identify opportunities to improve People Operations workflows and employee self-service
  • Create and maintain benefits documentation, guides, and FAQs in coordination with benefits broker
  • Support testing and rollout of HRIS or benefits system enhancements
  • Support the development and ongoing maintenance of the company intranet, including organizing HR resources, benefits information, policies, and employee communications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with People Operations team members on onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
  • Collaborate with the Recruiter on benefits-related content for candidates and new hires
  • Coordinate with external brokers, vendors, and consultants to ensure high service levels
