About The Position

The Analyst must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate; plan and prioritize various projects; support query, processes, and communication projects across four MyCSN modules (Admissions, Student Records, Campus Community, Academic Advising) and assist in resolving enrollment and scheduling issues. Develop processes to validate data integrity. Incumbent will be primarily working on assisting the Senior Analyst on maintaining current processes and implementing new procedures for the department and the institution. Provide support for special cohorts, for example International and Dual Enrollment students. This role supports the Office of the Registrar by overseeing various technical processes including, but not limited to: Running/scheduling various technical processes including integrations, and implementations as needed. Test newly deployed software updates. Design, modify, and update queries and processes. Analyze and provide data for institutional, state, and federal reporting. Provide technical and practical assistance with student data and related systems. Utilize a query-based update (QBUs) procedure to update student records in PeopleSoft (MyCSN) to facilitate department functions. Provide data for ad-hoc staff requests. Update departmental webpages as needed, including PDFs documents. Collaborate with staff to assist with data validation for state/local audits. Attend meetings with internal and external entities to provide feedback on CSN requirements and processes. Assist in developing/maintaining PeopleSoft (MyCSN) related business process guides (BPGs) for faculty, staff and students. Provide testing and support for various Office of the Registrar processes for automation. Assist in reaching departmental, division, and institutional goals. Maintain working knowledge of best practices in reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS or other analysis-based concentration from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of experience in years in data analysis, documentation, and testing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to develop and modify queries.
  • Basic understanding of SQLs.
  • Advanced level computer skills using Windows based operating system, specifically Microsoft Word Excel (graphics, pivot tables) and Adobe suite.
