About The Position

The Analyst, Team Business Operations will support Team Business Operations’ Senior Leadership Team in the development of growth strategies that drive high-level priorities for the thirteen team franchises. You will be part of a team responsible for investigating the most important enterprise and functional business questions for our team that explore new revenue and growth horizons, identify sources of competitive advantage, and strengthen LIV Golf’s position within the golf ecosystem. You will enable cross-functional partnership around critical business questions and support our team’s quarterly business planning and annual board cycles. Reporting to the SVP Team Business Operations and Development, you will have multiple stakeholders across this role including, Heads of Department for Strategy and Finance, peers in Finance, Insights, Legal and Corporate strategy, and Team staff and general managers. This role is truly central to our strategic growth as Team Business Operations. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our league. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our executive team, the senior-most leaders at the league and across the team franchises and the board.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in investment banking, corporate development or at a top-tier consulting firm
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
  • Track record of independently driving cross-functional strategic projects from end to end
  • Ability to quickly come up to speed on new topics and rapidly identify opportunities
  • Experience creating and implementing new processes and ways of working
  • Ability to connect the dots across topics and workstreams in a cross-functional, global, matrix environment
  • Strong data analysis and financial modeling skills in Excel
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills as a communication tool to drive understanding, persuade, and mobilize change
  • Comfort balancing multiple projects at once, prioritizing time and capacity accordingly
  • Bias towards action and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to work through complexity & adversity
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • A curious mind and growth-orientation

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other relevant post-graduate qualification would be advantageous
  • Sports industry expertise is a plus
  • Salesforce is a plus as well as Figma training for presentations

Responsibilities

  • Lead work aligned to the thirteen Team’s new business ventures, including but not limited to licensing initiatives, merchandise initiatives and joint ventures across the globe, from initial analysis and recommendation through tracking and refinement
  • Direct and execute analysis and due diligence for these new business ventures, distilling complex information and weighing multiple inputs to ultimately lead to actionable recommendations
  • Drive team equity sales initiatives by leading analysis and coordinating equity sales materials across LIV, team stakeholders, potential investors and banking partners
  • Evaluate and model expansion opportunities for team businesses, including new team formation and market entry
  • Partner across the league with insights, analytics, strategy and player relations team to develop and support player strategy end-to-end from recruitment and talent decisions, competitive analysis and financial roster decisions and return on investment
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses for the Team Business Operations, the LIV board and the Team franchises related to growing franchise value, including sponsorship and salesforce dashboards with the commercial team and monthly comparison reports with the insights and communications teams
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all team business operation initiatives and lead the communication of progress against those KPIs across the business
