About The Position

Analyst, Trade Area Management Job Purpose This role will be responsible for executing polygon (map) creation, change management, research, and other various activities related to major company initiatives, including Retail Delivery, Catering Delivery, and new projects as needed. This person will provide ongoing support to various internal support teams and the entire Retail Ops organization who need Trade Area Management support, insight, and general information. Additionally, the role will be responsible for managing two services/support functions tied to eCommerce & POS configuration, and Company Hierarchy configuration.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Panera Retail Operations.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience creating, adjusting, and analyzing polygons in the Food Service industry.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience managing people within Panera or equivalent.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a drive to succeed and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Highly accountable for results; both individually and as a team.
  • Prior experience with data analysis and trend reporting.
  • Demonstrated high-level problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills; including ability to communicate effectively with senior level executives.
  • Ability to execute tasks across multiple projects simultaneously and to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with technology in a retail environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated above average to expert level experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage deliverable schedules to meet business needs related to Cafe Base Delivery and Catering trade area management elements.
  • Troubleshoot, communicate, and adjust schedules as issues arise and teams need to flex.
  • Coordinate with various internal cross functional teams to ensure delivery dates and deadlines for each task are on track.
  • Prioritize efforts against multiple deliverables and daily complexities.
  • Anticipate potential macro and micro business deliverable and functionality issues and proactively work to resolve them.
  • Create and maintain market/franchise profiles related to trade area management details.
  • Continuously review mapping practices, processes, and documentation to ensure internal team expectations and standards are top notch.
  • When issues related to polygons occur, provide detailed analysis and work with internal teams to prevent recurrence.
  • Identify, review, plan, seek approval and implement new tool/process sets that will continue to move the trade area management function forward for Panera and provide more robust features and abilities for the team.
  • Act as the primary owner of the internal eCommerce & POS configuration change request process, executing approved changes within Panera’s MDM platform.
  • Documenting request details using designated tool sets.

  • Oversee the creation, recording and updating of cafe events and change request details associated with all in scope functions using designated tool sets.
  • Create and continuously review the Panera standard cafe naming conventions as implemented through the system to ensure the best possible customer experience.
  • Create and deliver metrics related to rollout and change management status.
  • Provide support to the Ops Services Leadership Team with their project and task deliverables as needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external support groups and departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
