About The Position

BizFirst is supporting our client in identifying a full-time Analyst VI to support Navy ERP governance, requirements management, and portfolio oversight. The individual will work directly with senior stakeholders at the branch head level to gather and document business requirements, assess the current and future state of IT systems and business processes, and support strategic communication initiatives. This position requires experience with Navy ERP, SAP, and Department of the Navy (DON) financial systems. The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge of the DON’s structure, governance processes, and IT portfolio management to support mission-critical transformation programs and enterprise governance. Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (An additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in governance, requirements management, or related areas.
  • Experience supporting Navy ERP initiatives and familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Understanding of DON organizational structure and financial systems.
  • Experience preparing formal written communications (e.g., memos, reports).
  • Familiarity with program management and coordination of cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of DoD PPBE and IT portfolio management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Apply Governance and Requirements Management expertise to develop integrated solutions.
  • Conduct facilitated sessions with clients to define detailed business requirements for solution development.
  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements, business processes, and challenges for new or improved systems.
  • Coordinate regularly with clients at the branch head level to ensure alignment and clarity of requirements.
  • Support senior SAP-level personnel with subject matter expertise on Navy ERP and related systems.
  • Prepare and deliver memos, reports, and strategic communications for portfolio-level governance.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in the Navy ERP operating environment and respond proactively.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders across the DON and DoD.
  • Support portfolio-level status reporting, risk escalation, and issue tracking.
  • Apply knowledge of the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
  • Contribute to IT systems portfolio management within the federal environment.
