The Opportunity Within Aeroflow, the Data Operations team is comprised of a small but mighty team of data professionals. Our engineers work alongside our business stakeholders, product owners, technical leads, and QA specialists to help facilitate quality data products for our internal customers. For this role, you will be joining our Data Operations team. This team is a group of passionate data practitioners and innovators dedicated to building cutting-edge solutions using the latest in ELT technologies, including Airbyte, DBT, Snowflake and Sigma. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying models in our Data Warehouse. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to life, leveraging your expertise in ELT and Data Warehouses to maximize the value of Aeroflow’s data. Key objectives for this position include partnering with our internal stakeholders to create high value data products to drive growth, efficiency, and opportunity. Your Primary Responsibilities We are currently seeking an Analytics Engineer. The Engineer is typically responsible for Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain a robust and scalable data model within the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance. Data Pipelines: Build and optimize data pipelines using Airbyte to efficiently extract, transform, and load data into the Snowflake data warehouse. dbt Development: Create, manage, and optimize dbt models to transform raw data into actionable insights. Semantic Layer: Develop a comprehensive semantic layer to provide a unified view of the data for business users and analysts. Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data integrity and reliability. Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, SQL engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Requirements

  • Data Engineering: Strong proficiency in data engineering concepts, including data modeling, ELT processes, and data warehousing.
  • SQL: Expert-level SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
  • dbt: In-depth knowledge of dbt for building and managing data transformations.
  • Airbyte: Experience with Airbyte or Fivetran for data ingestion and pipeline management.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud data warehousing.
  • Data Quality: Understanding of data quality concepts and tools.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex data challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Proven experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with data warehousing platforms (Snowflake preferred).
  • Knowledge of data quality best practices.
