About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anatomic Pathologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Opportunity Details: Review and sign out surgical pathology biopsies, excision, and resection cases. Review and sign out cytopathology cases. Prioritize malignant cases and submit all first-time malignant cases for daily intradepartmental consensus conference for peer review and concordance. Complete cases in the required turnaround time (TAT) at Kings County Hospital. Participate in internal/external quality assurance, performance improvement activities and programs, and departmental meetings, and facility-wide training as needed. Involve in processing of surgical pathology service management and quality improvement. Instruct residents on service of general surgical pathology and cytopathology. Participate in other clinical activities as requested by service director.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified by American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP
  • New York Physician License

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $270,000 (board eligible); $300,000 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $297,000 (board eligible) and $330,000 (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
