Vision: Be the first choice for healthcare and employment within our community Mission: Deliver compassionate and convenient care to the highest level of excellence that promotes lifelong health and wellness for our community General Summary: Under the direction of ancillary department directors (imaging, lab, pharmacy, rehabilitation), works collaboratively with members of the ancillary teams to provide safe, quality care. Provides general clerical assistance to all ancillary departments. Provides support to the PACS administrator (imaging), therapists/assistants (rehab), and other health care professionals during daily operations. Provides select patient care duties and patient transport. Assists with general cleaning of equipment/work areas, maintaining transportation devices (i.e. wheelchairs, stretchers), and other departmental duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to engage as part of the larger ancillary team
  • High school graduate, or equivalent
  • CPR certification required. BLS is expected at renewal.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work area/equipment for patients and staff, including departmental treatment areas and supply closets.
  • Performs a variety of assisting and servicing activities with patients/staff, including answering call lights, adjusting patient set-up, assembling/disassembling rehab treatments, stocking supplies/linen, assisting patients to/from therapy pool area, & cleaning as outlined in ancillary department policies and procedures.
  • Assists with clerical responsibilities, including scanning of patient documents and processing requests for medical records as needed.
  • Assists in retrieving and accepting patient testing images.
  • Greets and directs patients to create positive impact and positive patient experiences.
  • Transports or moves patients with proper body mechanics & appropriate awareness of uniqueness of patients.
  • Uses EMR and PACS accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintains professional composure and confidence during stressful situations.
  • Maintains open communication using appropriate chain of command regarding issues.
